Platform: Book launch Ane Hjort Guttu: 'Writings, Conversations, Scripts' edited by Rike Frank
Thursday 30 August
19.00
Free, all welcome

Bergen Kunsthall welcomes artist Ane Hjort Guttu and curator Rike Frank for the launch of Guttu´s new publication 'Writings, Conversations, Scripts'. This evening contains readings, a moderated conversation on Ane Hjort Guttu´s writings as well as a presentation of the sound piece "Charlotte and Pierre" (2014), in which Charlotte addresses her increasing alienation towards her everyday environment.

'Writings, Conversations, Scripts' is the first survey of text works by the artist Ane Hjort Guttu. Written between 2003 and 2018, the texts range from public statements, poetic short prose and film scripts to essays on art for children or on the link between light and wealth. With a special focus on 'image-text constellations', the selection edited by Rike Frank suggests connections between artistic writing and curatorial publishing.

Ane Hjort Guttu: Writings, Conversations, Scripts is designed by HIT and published by Torpedo Press, Sternberg Press and Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo (2018).

The event will be held in English.
