At the age of 18, Northern Irish Bridie Monde Watson, aka SOAK, has already been signed to Rough Trade. She’s also on iTunes, Spotify and even BBC’s ”The Longlist” of 2015, where ”the most exciting musical talent for the year ahead” are presented. Her debut EP "Blud" was released by Chvrches on their label Goodbye Records, and in the the summer her debut album titled "Before We Forgot How to Dream” will be released on Rough Trade. Her songs are about growing up in North–Irland and the emotions of the teen years - they address themes such as loneliness, family and future dreams.

Earlier this year she captivated a packed St. Edmund's Church during by: Larm, a concert that music journalist Marius Asp (P3) gave a high score: "As a songwriter she combines modest but atmospheric melodies with intelligent lyrics that alternates between all sorts of small things ("this is a song about whales and crabs," she says about "Sea Creatures") and more basic, existential conditions. And she sings these songs effortlessly stunning, with an accent that changes from disturbing to adorable as you listen. SOAK could be compared to Laura Marling, but add Cat Power's vocal texture, the guitar sound of The Durutti Column and the open, melancholic mood The Blue Nile operated within during the eighties, and you’re starting to get the picture.”
